Strategic Goals
The strategic goals are the overarching goals of the institution that guide Glenbow's Board of Governors in fulfilling its governance responsibilities.
Goal 1: Ensure Glenbow Museum's ongoing evolution as a progressive thought and practice leader in the museum world by strengthening collections and programming content, growing education and dialogue, and enhancing our mandate.
Goal 2: Ensure Glenbow Museum's long-term financial sustainability as an independent entity.
Management Goals
The management goals are tools utilized to attain the overarching strategic goals of institutional evaluation and financial sustainability. The management goals will be reported on quarterly to the Board of Governors and evaluated annually in the context of the strategic goals. The management goals are aligned with the vision of the Glenbow-Enhance-Art-Dialogue-History model.
Goal 1: Create and deliver an engaging, entertaining experience for visitors and promote dialogue and life-long learning with diverse audiences through high quality exhibitions and programs and other innovative methods of access.
Goal 2: Refine and build the collection and maximize accessibility, while improving condition, utility and security.
Goal 3: Renew and strengthen Glenbow Museum's brand locally, nationally and internationally to enhance Glenbow's reputation and build a strong base of community support.
Goal 4: Be regarded as the employer of choice, recognized for the provision of unique career opportunities in Calgary's arts and culture sector.
Goal 5: Meet or exceed the annual financial plan.
