Riel Rebellion diary, postcards and letters. -- 1885. -- 4.5 cm of textual records

M-12-2 Riel Rebellion diary. -- 1885. -- Consists of the diary of Robert Kellock Allan, who served with the 90th Winnipeg Rifles during the Riel Rebellion (North West Rebellion). Diary entries describe his trip and military activities in southern Saskatchewan, including the Battle of Batoche (May 9-12, 1885).

M-12-4 Postcards. -- 1885. -- Consists of postcards sent by Robert Kellock Allan to his father in Ontario. They were written from Batoche on the last day of the Battle of Batoche, and from Battleford, a camp on the Saskatchewan River, and Fort Pitt.
