Early records. - 1951- 1961. - 22 cm of textual records. - Consists of records created and collected by CSPS volunteer ski patrols which operated in the Calgary and Banff area before the Banff zone of the Mountain Division was established in 1962. The records included the constitution, annual reports and newsletters of the national body, and some records of the Canadian Amateur Ski Association, Western Division.

Series 2

Banff Zone/Calgary Zone records. - 1962-1987. - 1.4 m of textual records. - Consists of records created and collected by the Banff Zone from 1962 to 1979, and then by the successor Calgary Zone from 1979 to 1987. The records relate to zone policies, training, fundraising, awards and other local matters. Minutes do not exist at Glenbow for 1963 to 1969, and correspondence for 1976 to the 1980s. Most of the correspondence from the 1980s consists only of miscellaneous files which have been arranged alphabetically for convenience.
