The letters were forwarded to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Indian Affairs Branch, for investigation and action. The Branch's reports on these cases are also in these files. Senate- Subject files. - 1960-1971. - The subject and nominal series (Series 10 and Series 11) are based on an existing system used by Gladstone from 1964-1971. There was a great deal of unfiled correspondence for these years, and for virtually all of 1961-1963. The unfiled records were added to the appropriate files in the existing system, with new files opened when necessary.
