Series 3Calgary Film Exchange. -- 1930-1934. -- 7 cm of textual records. -- The Calgary Film Exchange was an office building in downtown Calgary which opened in 1931 and apparently was demolished in 1946. It was designed to serve the needs of motion picture distributors, featuring a screening room and fireproof film storage vaults. The building project was conceived by John Hazza, but the building was owned by the contractor, Campbell & Hillier Ltd. -- The series consists of correspondence concerning planning and leasing of the building, and records of a legal dispute with Campbell & Hillier.
