Series 1 Eileen Nagel and her collection. -- 1905-2006. -- 12.5 cm of textual records. -- 5 CDs. -- The series consists of biographical material about Eileen Nagel; information about why she decided to collect material related to Alberta's farm organizations; and digital copies (CDs) which she had made of the collection's contents. She called her collection "One Hundred Years of General Farm Organizations in Alberta, 1905-2005".

The material on the CDs includes programs, membership lists, newspaper clippings, photographs, journal artcles, lists of officials and directors, coverage of conventions, etc. Much of it has been annotated by Eileen with identifications and personal comments. Please note that the CDs are not exact copies of the contents of the binders in Series 2 and 4 below, and do not include much of the supplementary material in Series 3, 5, 6, and 7. The contents of the five CDs have been converted to pdf format and linked to this finding aid below for ease of use.

Series 2 "One Hundred Years of General Farm Organizations in Alberta". -- 1905-2005. -- 81 cm of textual records. -- The series consists of the contents of numerous binders created by Eileen Nagel to document the members and activities of Alberta's main agricultural organizations. The material includes programs, membership lists, newspaper clippings, photographs, journal artcles, lists of officials and directors, coverage of conventions, etc. Much of it has been annotated by Eileen with identifications and personal comments.

Notes: For preservation purposes the contents were removed from the original binders and are now stored in acid-free folders. The original order has been retained. Much of this material is available digitally via the links in Series 1 above, but the contents of the original binders and the CDs are not exact copies. The CDs have other material such as photographs interspersed with binder pages; some longer documents were not included in their entirety on the CDs; and new material may have been added to the binders after the CDs were made. The page number of the CDs and binders do not match.

Under its terms of reference, 80 meetings were held throughout the province and a final report was published in 1975. -- Consists of introductory remarks at one of the meetings by Chairman Dr. V.A. Wood, and forum members Ralph Brown and Jack Davis.
