M-1008-1

Diary. -- 1908-1912. -- Consists of the diary of Frederick O. Pringle, a young American immigrant who homesteaded near Veteran, Alberta. The brief but pithy diary entries describe his trip to Canada, work as a farm labourer for others, his social life (primarily dances on Saturday nights), work on his homestead, and his growing business as a barber. Note: The 1908 entries appear at the very end rather than the beginning of the diary; the scans begin in 1909 when he started his trip to Canada.
