Inventory

Series 1 Patents and inventions. -- 1906-1938. -- 4 cm of textual records. -- Reavley was an inventor of medical devices and military devices. He held both British and American patents on some items. Some of his inventions he offered to the military. -- The series consists of correspondence regarding his inventions and patents, as well as letters patent.

Series 2 Mining interests. -- 1903-1940. -- 5 cm of textual records. -- Reavley was resident in Colorado, USA from about 1901 to 1905 and leased some mining property. He maintained an interest in the mines after he left Colorado. -- The series consists of correspondence re mining.

Series 3 First World War. -- 1915-1919. -- 8 cm of textual records. -- Reavley was appointed to the Army Medical Corps of the Canadian Army in August 1915, and to the Royal Army Medical Corps in 1916. He was at the time a resident of Steveville, Alberta. He worked first at Sarcee Army Camp in Calgary, then went overseas in 1916. He served as a medical officer in Prisoner of War camps in Britain, and worked on an Ambulance Train in Italy and France. He returned to Canada in 1919. -- The series consists of military certificates, newspaper clippings, etc.
