Community Access at Glenbow

As part of Glenbow's commitment to expand the reach and impact of art and culture in our community, we are pleased to offer several special access programs in order to ensure everyone has the opportunity to experience Glenbow.

Free First Thursday Nights

Free Admission to Glenbow from 5pm - 9pm on the first Thursday of every month.

This program is made possible by the generous support of Servus Credit Union.


Indigenous Access Program

Glenbow is entrusted with extensive material related to the heritage and ancestry of Canada's First Peoples. The Indigenous Access Program provides First Nations, Inuit and Metis people with complimentary admission during regular museum hours. Pre-registration is not required for this program. School groups are not eligible for this program.

Group Assistance Program

Glenbow is committed to offering learning opportunities to Calgarians from all walks of life. The Group Assistance Program offers opportunities for service agencies, charitable and non-profit organizations to visit Glenbow with groups of youth and/or adults who are otherwise unable to afford regular admission. Support Persons Program and Access 2 Entertainment Program

This program enables visitors with disabilities who use a support person to bring that person with them to access Glenbow's exhibitions. The support person will receive free museum admission.

City of Calgary Recreation Fee Assistance Program

Glenbow offers a reduced fee assistance rate for regular museum admission, to ensure low-income Calgarians who are part of the Fare Entry program can access Glenbow.

Cultural Access Pass Program

The Cultural Access Pass Program provides complimentary Glenbow admission to new Canadian citizens within their first year of citizenship. New citizens can apply for the CAP online at www.icc-icc.ca and present their pass at Glenbow for free entry.

SunLife Financial Arts+Culture Pass

Glenbow is a community partner in the Calgary Public Library's initiative to provide opportunities for low-income Calgarians to access quality arts and culture experiences.

The Sun Life Financial Arts + Culture Pass operates in partnership with the City of Calgary Recreation Fee Assistance Program which qualifies individuals and families for financial support and for eligibility to access event tickets and admission passes through this initiative.
