The best art party in town just got even cooler thanks to the opening of Vanishing Ice: Alpine and Polar Landscapes in Art 1775 - 2012. We'll be celebrating with arctic -inspired treats and activities and welcoming all of our new exhibitions - Made in Calgary: The 2000s, Where Are The Children? and From Our Collection: Searching for the Northwest Passage - with music, visuals, libations and much, much more.
Glenbow special events and programs are for those who want an enhanced experience and to engage with the museum in a different way. Go behind the scenes, spend your lunch break with a curator learning about a feature exhibition or enjoy an unscripted conversation style talk between a high profile artist, writer, politician or expert. Families will enjoy exploring their creative side at Weekend at the Museum and foodies can indulge their curiosity (literally and figuratively) at the popular Art for the Senses events. Finally, experience Glenbow after dark at the Launch Party which gives you an unexpected museum experience mixing art opening with live music, unique performance and a bar.
