Ladylikeness Preview

This year we’re marking International Women’s Day (Friday, March 8) with the opening of the exhibition Ladylikeness: Historical Portraits of Women by Women, produced in partnership with Library and Archives Canada (LAC). Glenbow’s Sarah Todd, who co-curated Ladylikeness with LAC’s Madeleine Trudeau, gives us a sneak peek at two artworks — a painting and a sculpture — that will be featured in the exhibition.

Portrait of Frances Adaskin by Paraskeva Clark (ca. 1951 – 52)

Anna Pavlova by Malvina Hoffman

Join Sarah Todd and Madeleine Trudeau for an opening night tour of Ladylikeness on Friday, March 8. The tour starts at 7pm and is free with museum admission.
